This week is our very first Winter Special. We’re based at the Pattern Makers (DE56 4EY) on Crown Street in Duffield, who are laying on some food to wash down your well-earned drink afterwards. The Pattern Makers does an excellent pint!
If coming from Belper, park by the shops, or turn right by the Viceroy Indian Restaurant, and park wherever you can along Tamworth Street. Parking is available on the drive of Tamworth House (first on the right after the first bend in the road) if there is any room. When you get to the t-junction, turn right and the Pattern Makers is 50m on the left. Room for just a few cars in their car park.
You may wish to bring a change of shoes for the pub as it is carpeted and the offroad will certainly be a tad muddy!
There are 2 runs. The first is all on tarmac but requires torches and well lit clothing – About 5.5 miles. The second route is mostly off road and about 6 miles.
A torch and something reflective are absolutely essential.
This is a social event, so everyone is welcome to run in either group, no matter what your running speed.”
