Another Member Moving to pastures new…

It’s always sad when runners leave the club to move onto pastures new and we’ve got another one on the list as of this weekend. Graham Collins has taken the brave decision to move ‘oop north (Newcastle exactly) to take up an interesting new job at the University. A brave choice when he has no car, can’t drive and runs loads in the hills of the Peak District!

Graham’s been with the club for many years now (4?) and although many of you won’t know him as he only makes it along intermittently, he’s been at the centre of the ‘long distance crowd’ for a while now. Graham is one of 3 runners in the club to complete the Bob Graham Round over the last 2 years and has had a recent attempt too at the even harder Welsh equivalent – the Paddy Buckley Round. Unifinished business there I feel. Good luck Graham from all at Belper Harriers.

We tried to arrange a secret farewell headtorch run for you last night too but you were only too bloody poorly to make it !!!! Still, we had a great time…
