Queen’s Head 5k

A good turn out of 10 Harriers contested the Queen’s Head 5k race on Sunday morning, organised by David Denton.

First Harrier home, and sixth overall, was Nathan Brickman in 18:11, closely followed by Tom Jackson. Alan Billington, bravely running on tarmac, was the third Harrier to finish in the top ten, with Chris Jordan just outside in 11th.

David Horton and Karl Atton finished together in 20:04, followed by Malcolm Weir, finishing first in his age category once again.

Our mens’ and ladies’ captains, Andy Nash and Rachel Clark also finished well up the field, separated by Meg McHarg. It was good to see that Andy managed to get his entry details correct this time!

I've been running on and off since my thirties. I did the London Marathon in 2002 and swore I'd never do another one but started again in 2013 and went sub-four at Chesterfield in September 2014.
