Today was round 5 of our club Fell Series – best performances from 12 races will count to end of season prizes and trophies! Edale is quite a hard race – the terrain is rocky throughout with the climb being long, the traverse hard, and the descent steep and rough!
Despite all this we had at least 14 of us travelling over 1h into the Peak District today to enjoy the beauty of being in the high hills of Derbyshire. Most of us hadn’t done this race before and some of us have only done a small handful of fell races but are already hooked! Nick even drove back from Wales today after a 4am start shearing 50 sheep! This really is a great local classic and one that everyone should look at doing in the future.
Well done guys – I look forward to seeing the results of the race and how the series is shaping up !
