Aim – Slower runners set out at 7.15, faster runners set off in 5 minute intervals ( in groups of pace ) with the aim of runners finishing at a similar time. Monitor your performance over time too.
Start times – Based on previous results, but if you’ve not run it before then either turn up in good time or post on Facebook and someone will get back to you. Awards go to most improved time for each individual not just the first runner back !!
Safety – The Winter Route is ALL LIT, but please wear something reflective AND take care at road crossings (of which there are no major ones but several minor ones)
Expected Times – If you’ve not run with us before and are not sure of the pace, we typically complete them in times from 30 mins up to about 45/50 mins. Have a go and see how you get on first.

Winter Handicap : White Hart, Bargate

Once a month on winter Tuesdays we do our handicap 6 miler (just shy of 10km), from the White Hart, Bargate, then head inside afterwards for food. The route heads towards the BBH crossroads at Openwoodgate and then heads down the hill passing Vaillant then Down Nottingham Rd to the Market Place. From there, head up the Fleet and all the way up Bargate rd to the top where u turn right to Holbrook. Once in Holbrook take the third on the left down Pond Rd following the road to the end which takes u to the top of Portway. There’s a tiny one way system round a group of houses. Follow that and retrace back up Pond Rd and back to Bargate. Shorter option is to cut out the Holbrook loop.
NOTE limited parking at The White Hart, please park considerately.

Once a month on summer Tuesdays we do our Summer handicap 5 miler from the White Hart Bargate, then head inside afterwards for food. The route which is mostly offroad is shown on the map above – about 5.5 miles with on AND offroad and some hills.
